Classic chess is a two-participant board game played on a chessboard with 64 squares organized in a layout of an 8×8 grid. Each participant begins with 16 pieces: comprising a king, one queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops, and eight pawns. The objective of this chess match is to checkmate the rival’s king, placing him in immediate peril of being seized. The game can be played with artificial intelligence or alongside another individual on the same device. The game also offers the capability to resolve chess puzzles.
