Carnot Game Description
Carnot Game is an engaging game centered around the Carnot Cycle, where the participant needs to switch among three thermal sources (hot, insulator, and cold) to optimize the work executed on the piston of a cylinder. The aim is to maintain the piston functioning in the optimal Carnot cycle, executing the transitions between sources at the appropriate time to prevent the cylinder from either bursting or freezing. The nearer the player is to the Carnot cycle, the greater their score and advancement.
The participant must click the button to alternate between the thermal sources of the system, remembering to execute the transitions at the right moments to prevent the piston from seizing or the cylinder from bursting. The Carnot cycle comprises four thermodynamic processes
